“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”

When I first saw this quote, I was confused. Did Mr. Twain mean to insinuate that the majority is good? Or did he mean that being on the side of the majority is something we should be careful of?

Thankfully, a simple Google search revealed an answer- be careful about siding with the majority. To put it another way: If you find yourself joining the crowd, consider the other side.
